Segi.tv is Sycamore Entertainment Group’s latest project. The app was launched in 2020. segi tv aims to be a streaming-service with a diverse program for a diverse audience.
segi.tv has no unique selling proposition and is also not state-of-the-art content-wise and technology-wise. There is no exclusive content or studio content. Any competition is already ahead of segi tv.
The segi.tv app is based on a ready-to-use solution by a company called FAST Channels TV™. FAST Channels is specialized in content and monetization behind FAST Server-side Ad Insertion (SSAI) linear Channels and VOD.They offer their service to multiple other streaming companies, for instance to https://mometu.com or https://nomad-slow.sotalcloud.com.
Sycamore invested $60,000 in the segi tv app in 2020. Since then, they stopped any investment, however collected millions of loans – initially indented to grow the streaming services.
App ratings and reviews are a critical part of an effective App Store Optimization strategy. The average iOS app has a 4.53-star review with an average of 455 App Store reviews. The average Android app has a 4.05-star rating and an average of 2,586 Google Play reviews.
Research shows that 50% of mobile users won't consider an app with a 3-star rating. That number drops to 85% for a 2-star rating.
However, the Segi.TV app has a 2-star-rating in Google Play Store. Many users complained about the poor UI and the lack of content of segi tv. Many negative reviews mention the poor quality of the Thor vs. Eddie Hall live streaming event.
